Cielo Calderón o La vida es sueño según Lorca

Cielo Calderón o La vida es sueño según Lorca is something more than the archaeological reconstruction of “La Vida es Sueño” debuted by Federico García Lorca the 25th of October 1932. This research, recovery and reconstruction project was set into motion to revisit Lorca’s selected text on the freedom of a man - incorporating what happened beyond this selection and its implications on stage.

To fully rebuild Lorca’s original show, we reconstructed Benjamín Palencias creative direction of the play of 1932. Studying the scenography and working closely with the Costume Design team, we successfully rebuilt Lorca's original show, touched with a 21st century love for theater.

The play was presented the 25th of October, 2022, in the same auditorium were it was debuted 90 years ago in Madrid, Spain, by Federico García Lorca.
