Ongoing project

ALAS, (Artistas Latino AmericanaS) is an ongoing project that started during my exchange program in London, back in 2021. Originally conceived from the distress of not seeing enough women artists in museums, ALAS was soon polished around a concept centered around the historical canons that Latin American female artists face when leaving their home country. 

In its core, ALAS is an online platform that works as an information system. Its main objective is the dissemination of emerging female Latina artists and the creation of a community around them.

With ambitions to become an online cultural/educational hub, the platform aims to inform, educate and create communities around Latino art. A virtual place, free and easily accessible space, designed for different types of users. A space that provides inclusive light to any artist who applies, regardless of their discipline (painting, sculpture, design, multidisciplinary). The creation of a community around the artist and the user through networking events.

The research, conceptual development and design of ALAS was the thesis I presented for my BA in Design at Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
